Seven documented outcomes

PowerPyx's launch guide lists seven endings: The Turncoat, The Folk Hero, The Patricide, The Knyazmaker, A Hero They Deserve, Together Forever, and Time Runs Out. The last is identified as a bad outcome tied to exhausting the story deadline. These names and route conditions come from third-party completion testing, not an official publisher ending catalogue.

The official narrative premise explains why multiple outcomes exist. Coen can prioritize saving his family, pursue revenge, form alliances, discover secrets, or ignore opportunities. Actions and inaction change the world. An ending is therefore the result of accumulated decisions, not only the final dialogue prompt.

The practical point of no return

The broad campaign structure requires confronting the three vassals Ambrus, Bakir, and Xanthe. After they are defeated and Coen reaches the next state of the campaign, Brencis requests a parley and the final quest “A Deal with the Devil” appears. PowerPyx recommends making a manual save at this stage and never overwriting it.

Treat beginning that final quest as the practical point of no return for route planning. The tested walkthrough reports that completing an ending returns to the title screen; it does not create a post-ending free-roam state. Finish desired side content first or keep the protected save so you can return to the open world before the conclusion.

Setting up several endings in one playthrough

The safest method is a small save archive, not one constantly overwritten slot. Keep an earlier save before completing the vassal sequence, a late save after the three vassals, and a dedicated pre-final-quest save. If an ending condition depends on a relationship or activity already resolved, the earlier save may be the only practical recovery point.

PowerPyx states that all endings can be obtained from one playthrough by setting up the necessary conditions, completing one result, and reloading. That is a tested trophy route, not a promise that every player's current branch can still satisfy every condition. Missed prologue events, harmed quest characters, expired objectives, or deliberate role-playing choices can make an older save necessary.

“Best ending” is not an objective label

Searches for a best ending often mix two different questions: which result is most hopeful, and which result completes the most demanding route. The ending titled “A Hero They Deserve” should not automatically be called the canon or best ending merely because its name sounds positive. No checked official source declares a canonical outcome.

Choose what “best” means before following a checklist. It may mean protecting Coen's family, preserving particular allies, resisting corruption, earning a trophy, or accepting the consequences of a blind run. A guide can explain requirements; it cannot turn a narrative preference into fact.

Ending explained without inventing canon

The central conflict asks what Coen will sacrifice for people he loves while he lives between humanity and vampirism. The named endings reflect different answers to power, loyalty, family, public reputation, and the 30-day deadline. Because the story responds to skipped as well as completed opportunities, two players can reach the final stage with different context around the same choice.

An “ending explained” account should identify the decisions visible in that save and separate them from speculation about a sequel. The publisher calls this the first chapter of a new role-playing saga, but that wording does not establish which outcome future material will treat as canon.

Spoiler-safe completion checklist

Before the final quest, confirm that you have completed the side stories you care about, resolved active hourglass objectives, and stored a manual save in a separate slot. Do not spend the final remaining time simply to match another player's route if it breaks the priorities of your playthrough.
